Ashely & Michael

Im posting some pictures from Ashley and Michaels wedding that we did last week. Ashley and I went to high school together and played volleyball together, so...we had history. :) She was several years younger than me but this girl definitely has her stuff together. Her heart and determination is amazing to see and its no wonder her sweet husband was attracted to her. This couple was really fun and when she walked down the isle to "Alleluia" (you know..the Third Day/ Michael W. Smith Version) that was sang by Joel Goddard...I got CHILLS! It was incredible and you could really just see how perfectly put together these two were. Here are a few of my favorite. Enjoy

*And We ALWAYS love to read comments too!

It's Me!

Well, I am having a really busy day...pictures to edit, meetings with 2 different brides, lunch with my lady friends (who I have missed terribly!), a work out to try and squeeze in, and I might even try to breathe sometime today so...nothing outside of the ordinary I guess!

Well, as I have mentioned before, I have been super fortunate for an opportunity to go to an all women photographers conference in February of next year. I cant tell you how excited I am and how much I feel like I have struck gold by being accepted to this conference! Its called Love Affair and the main point of it is that women have love affairs with a lot of things in their lives...their husbands, their children, their work, their church...a LOT of things...and how do you balance that out and still stay successful and content and growing? I desire SO much for my business to be a reflection of who I am and for that reflection to be desirable to the clients I have. I want people to feel comfortable with my style...to trust my judgment...and to LOVE what they get in the end. I know that my work and my job a a photographer may not "change peoples lives," but I hope that it can at least affect them...maybe thats unrealistic, but Im holding on to that thought. :)

Any who, I had to fill out a survey for this conference because they are spotlighting each of the 40 women that are going (80 all together actually because there are 2 1 week sessions), I'll let you know when its my week. :) Heres the picture I submitted...thanks to my devastatingly hansom husband... :)

Mama said KNOCK YOU OUT!

For those of you that might not know, my mom won her first boxing World Title a few months back. She has been waiting to get this title for years and she finally has it! Today we did some promo shoots for her and boy are those belts heavy!

A year already??!!!

Time is FLYING by...I cant believe summer is already over and kids are going back to school, its almost football time here in DAWG nation, and we're only a few months away from my FAVORITE time of year! Where is the time going?

Speaking of time running away from you (literally!), here are some pictures from a portrait session from this week. Its hard to grasp that it has been 1 whole year since my friends Kristy and Ryan had their baby, Ryan. I have been taking pictures of this baby since he was in the womb and I cant get over how stinkin' cute he is! And he LOVES his parents...its so much fun to watch him grow!

Thats how we roll...

Okay..sorry..I had to use that line somewhere. I was in Wilmington, NC this week visiting my friend Jessica (LOVES!) and the church right next to her house always has the most hilarious signs! This week it said... "Fishing and Following...thats how we roll." I almost died right there in the middle of the street! A-Mazing!

Alright alright..now on to the good stuff. After many a panic attack yesterday and this morning...I got the call that I had been accepted to an all women photographer conference that will be in February on Bald Head Island off the coast of Wilmington. There will only be 40 ladies...and 4 speakers...and a TON of fun. My pastor last night at our midweek house fellowship talked about how wisdom is worth way more than any amount of money so I am jumping in head first with this conference and hoping to gain as much wisdom from it as possible! Its going to be amazing and if you want to check it out you can go to www.loveaffairworkshop.com. You'll be as blown away as I am , I promise.

On to some pictures...

I had the privilege of following the Todd kids around for a little bit on evening recently and watching them play through the lens of my camera. This family is really close to my heart because I have known them forever! I used to babysit Andrew, the oldest one when he was just a new born...so if it doesn't make me feel old to see him as a 9 year old I don't know what will!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hellllooooo EVERYONE! Okay...so I feel like Im playing "catch up" to everyone in this industry by getting a blog started now..but the concept makes so much sense! Other than touring our recent wedding page on the website..how else will everyone get to see what Im up to???!
Right now Im sipping coffee and trying to plot our the next fews months since wedding season is starting to wrap up. Its been a REALLY incredible season this year and we booked triple the weddings this summer than we did last so, its been a total God thing for us! Here is a little of what we have been up to this summer:

Sonny and Ashley Lemmons were SO incredibly fun to work with! We had a great time and they were up for anything! We even followed them to a coffee shop in town to capture their first sips of Java as newlyweds! It was so much fun!

Glen and Kelli McDonald were such a huge blessing in our lives! Talk about a sweet couple...they totally fit the description!Matthew and Christina Williamson were so fun! And the kids in this wedding kept us all on our toes...we had a blast!
( they are SOOOOOO cute! LOVES!)

I'll post more later...just wanted to give you all a look into whats been going on lately...I have a ton more..but for now, its back to the bat cave to keep working!
